Bio

David was born in Lexington, Kentucky in the Southland neighborhood. Like most kids in the area, he played pee-wee football and baseball for South Lexington. He attended Clays Mill Elementary and Jessie Clark middle-school. After his parents moved to a farm in Jessamine County when he was 15, David attended Jessamine County High School (West Jessamine today) and went on to Eastern Kentucky University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology with a focus on graphic arts and electronics.

Upon graduation, David went to work for Computer Color Corporation in Lexington (one of the most recognized pre-press company’s around). Starting out in the proofing department, David quickly moved to scanner operator then promoted to account representative. A few years later, President Walt LeRoy and award-winning Lexington, KY photographer Jeff Rogers started the first commercial “digital” photography business in the region where David learned professional studio photography techniques from one of the best.

After nearly a decade of studio work, where he gained valuable experience in all aspects of photography workflow including Adobe Photoshop® image editing, David went to work for The Jockey Club/Blood-Horse Publications (Blood-Horse Magazine, Keeneland Magazine, California Thoroughbred, New York Breeder, etc…) where he became a jack of all trades including scanner operator, imaging editor, digital assets manager, photographer, videographer and ultimately art director.

Today, David is the Associate Creative Director working remotely for LGB advertising and creative arts agency in Saratoga Springs, NY. As time permits, he combines his decades of experience and love for photography and graphic design to offer a unique skill set and perspective to select clients in Central Kentucky at a very affordable price.
